Humanitarian agencies issue a fervent plea for the cessation of hostilities in Southern Lebanon as

growing humanitarian needs are further exacerbated

The Lebanon Humanitarian INGO Forum, made up of 66 international non-governmental organizations,

expresses profound concern over the escalation of hostilities in Lebanon, particularly in the South, that

has now entered its sixth month.1

So far, a shocking 91,288 civilians have been displaced - 37 % of whom are children and 33 % of whom

إنّ جمعيّة إنقاذ الأطفال تحثّ جميع الجهات على احترام القانون الإنساني الدوليّ بعد مقتل أمّ وطفليها، وعائلة من تسعة أفراد بينهم طفلين في غارة جويّة إسرائيلية على جنوب لبنان هذا الأسبوع، بحسب الوسائل الإعلاميّة. صرّحت المديرة العامة لجمعيّة إنقاذ الأطفال في لبنان، جينيفير مورهيد، قائلة:

"إنّ المقتل المأساويّ للأطفال وعائلاتهم في بلدة الصّوانة ومدينة النّبطيّة في جنوب لبنان هو بمثابة تذكير صارخ بالحاجة الملحّة إلى إعطاء الأولويّة لحماية المدنيّين والحفاظ على حياة الأطفال. لا يجب أن يتحمّل الأطفال مطلقاً وطأة العنف المتصاعد.

بيروت، 1 شباط 2024 – فقدت عشرات  آلاف العائلات في جنوب لبنان مصادر رزقها كما خسر العديد منها منازلهم في الأشهر الأربعة الماضية بعد تصاعد العُنف عبرالحدود بين لبنان وإسرائيل، وتدمير حوالي 47,000 شجرة زيتون ومحاصيل أخرى خلال فترة الحصاد، بحسب جمعيّة إنقاذ الأطفال.
