Home-Based Skills Development

Friday 8 August 2014

This is a video about the Home Based Skills Development project, a three-month emergency livelihood project that Save the Children in Lebanon first implemented in Akkar and the Bekaa valley this spring, reaching 800 women. The project, which will continue to be rolled out over the course of 2014, provides training to vulnerable women from both refugee and host communities in a vocation, as well as in business management and the marketing of their produce. It encourages them to become self-sufficient and to create businesses together, thereby fostering social cohesion between the Lebanese and Syrian communities.
